Drummer Pål Hausken Went to the Norwegian Academy of music in Oslo from 2000-2006, Finished of with a Master degree in Improvisation with his band "In the country".
Since then they have been selected «Best young jazz artists in Norway», played tours in Europe, USA and Asia besides Norway. They have released three albums on the prestigeous Rune Grammofon label: «This was the pace of my heartbeat» 2004, «Losing stones, collecting bones», 2006 and «Whiteout», 2009.) All of them to much critical acclaim.
Pål Hausken has also worked with a wide variety of norwegian groops and musicians such as: Susanna Wallumroed, Music for a while (also with Tora Augestad), Christer Knutsen & Sacret hearts, Bull of the year, Trygve Seim, Terje Rypdal and Marc Ribot (US).
